Crystal Edmondson has been working here at Blue Ridge for over a decade (12 years in March). A resident of Culpeper County, she is also a youth pastor and loves to hang out with her family. Q: What is your job title?

A: Surgery Scheduling Coordinator


Q: What does your job entail?

A: We start with a call to schedule the patient to schedule surgery (and all appointments related to surgery), coordinate with the facilities, reach out to surgical reps for instrumentation, and contact the patient's insurance companies for benefits and pre-certification.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love the challenge of my job (rarely a boring day). I love my co-workers, and I love Blue Ridge's outreach to the community.


Q: What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

A: People are different when in pain.


Q: What would you be doing (for a career) if you weren't doing this?

A: Social work


Q: What profession would you definitely NOT like to do?

A: Sanitation (I have a friend who does it, and this girl isn't made for that)


Q: What county do you call home?

A: Culpeper

Q: What do you like best about your county?

A: I love the back roads, and tractors who slow up traffic.

A: Messick’s Farm Market


Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

A: Hanging out with my family.

A: I am a youth pastor.

A: I love Savannah, GA

A: Never feel rushed to make a major decision.

A: Dog, but I always tell the hubby I'm getting a kitten muhahaha!

A: Comparison will only trade your problems for their problems
