Britton Thodal: Upbeat medical assistant cares for patients with spine issues

Staff spotlight: Life almost took the “bubbly” medical assistant in a completely different direction ... a lot of people are glad it didn’t

Many of the patients who have been treated for neck and back pain at Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center have received care from Britton Thodal, who has been specializing in spine as a medical assistant for the past seven years. Patients describe her as “fantastic,” “exceptional,” and “the most positive medical assistant on the planet.”

Britt’s colleagues in the clinic also have complimentary things to say. “Bubbly and smart” pretty much sums it up.

“Britt is the MVP of the Spine Center,” says spine surgeon Dr. Louis Magdon. “Her knowledge, skills, and compassion elevate the quality of care and add tremendous value to the patient experience.”

So it’s safe to say a lot of people — both patients and staff — are glad she’s here at Blue Ridge instead of working as a marine biologist, which was her original plan.
