Dr. Pelton is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine.
Dr. Pelton treats people — from weekend warriors to elite athletes — whose active lifestyle has been disrupted due to an orthopedic condition or injury. He is the team physician for the Gainesville Cardinals and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Pelton has an active lifestyle himself. When he has free time, he loves exploring all of the natural wonders of Virginia from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the beaches of the south eastern region of the state.
Dr. Pelton completed his post-graduate orthopedic surgery training at the Medstar Georgetown University Hospital with a fellowship in sports medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, among the nation’s top 20 hospitals for orthopedics and the #2 hospital overall in the nation as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
