Louis Magdon

MD

Dr. Magdon is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of the spine.

As a spine surgeon, he is focused on exhausting non-operative treatment for his patients in order to help them get better without surgery. However, when non-operative treatment has failed to relieve symptoms and spine surgery is indicated, he strives to offer patients less invasive, non-fusion, and/or motion-sparing options so as to optimize patient outcomes.

He maintains privileges at Fauquier Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center, and Haymarket Surgery Center.

Dr. Magdon graduated summa cum laude from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Biology. Having been awarded the President’s Scholar Award, he continued his study at Lehigh University for an additional year, earning a M.S. in Health and Bio-Pharmaceutical Economics. Dr. Magdon then obtained his M.D. from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey.

After a general surgery internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, Dr. Magdon completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey.  After residency, Dr. Magdon received sub-specialized training in spine surgery with a spine fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.
