Bio
Dr. Seal graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he also played varsity football for the Aggies. While doing his undergraduate work, he studied for one year at Lancaster University, in England, participating on the school’s rugby team. He then earned his M.D. in 2001 at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Seal completed an orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center & R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his residency training, Dr. Seal completed the Bohlman Spine Surgery Fellowship at Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio.
Dr. Seal has published numerous articles in the medical literature and has presented his research at national meetings focusing on spine surgery. His professional interests include comprehensive spinal care, degenerative and traumatic diseases of the cervical and lumbar spine, cervical myelopathy, spinal stenosis, and minimally invasive treatment of spinal disorders. Dr. Seal currently has privileges at Fauquier Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center and Haymarket Surgical Center.
Dr. Seal spends his free time with his wife and two young daughters. He volunteers as the team physician for Kettle Run High School.
