With master’s degree in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, Ms. Matthews began her career as a certified Athletic Trainer, splitting her time between Lafayette High School and a physical therapy clinic in Williamsburg, VA. She was soon thereafter accepted into a Physician Assistant Studies program at Arcadia University where she earned her second master’s degree. As a Physician Assistant, she gained a wide range of experience in the field of orthopedics, including surgical first assisting and clinical patient care before becoming a practitioner for Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center in 2021.
She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
