Medical Insurance Specialist

 

Duties for this full-time job include payment posting, insurance follow-up, and cross-training for various responsibilities. Insurance knowledge and the ability to read EOBs is required. General duties for this full-time job to include, but not limited to, suture/staple removal, wound care, splinting and casting, ability to start IVs, and taking vitals (to include manual BP). EMR and office experience in a specialty office setting preferred. Applicant must be professional, friendly, well organized, dependable, multi-tasker and efficient in many areas to include communicating and proper medical documentation. Duties to include updating existing patient accounts, registering new patients, performing role of operator/switchboard, insurance verification and appointment scheduling for a busy, fast paced work environment.
